Parking at K-State
K-State uses HonkMobile for parking passes. This system uses a License Plate Recognition system rather than paper vouchers.
You have the option to register your vehicle in advance of the conference or register it the day of/once you've parked. Please note when registering in advanced you will be required to create a HonkMobile account and have the option to download their app. You can avoid both of these steps by registering on the day of.
You must register your vehicle each day you park.
Your license plate must be visible from the outer lane. You cannot back in to your parking spot.
If you need assistance once you've arrived, please take a picture or write down your license plate number, state and country, and we can assist you at the conference registration tables inside the K-State Student Union.
Otherwise, please follow the instructions below based on your vehicle registration preference.

Registering Your Vehicle the Day of the Event
Follow these instructions to register your vehicle the day of the event. For your convenience, we recommend this option rather than registering your vehicle in advance.
You will need to register your car each day you park using these same instructions.
Vehicle Registration Steps
1. Park in the K-State Parking Garage.
2. Use your phone's camera or a QR code reader app to scan the HONK QR Code signage posted in the parking garage or at KTEC registration desk.
3. Open the link the QR code generates. The link will automatically assign you to Parking Lot PG01 in Zone 2145K. It also will automatically select the current date.
4. Under Choose Rate, select Provided Promo Code.
5. Enter your license plate number in the Plate Number field.
6. Enter KTEC2026 in the Enter Promo Code field below the TOTAL and tap Apply. KDOT employees will use a different promo code. That code will be shared to registered individuals in a parking-specific email a week before the event.
7. If done correctly, this will change your total amount due from $16.50 to $0.00 and you will not have to enter any form of payment.
8. Tap the Park For Free button at the bottom to begin your parking session. Make sure to tap the Park For Free button — otherwise your car will not be registered.

Registering Your Vehicle in Advance
Follow these instructions if you wish to register your vehicle in advance of the conference.
Please note that if you register your vehicle in advance rather than the day of the conference, you must create a HonkMobile account on either the HonkMobile website or app. You will not be able to register your vehicle in advance without creating a HonkMobile account.
Choose below whether you would like to register your vehicle on the HonkMobile website or on a mobile device and follow the instructions.
Website Steps
To register your vehicle in advance using the HonkMobile website:
1. Click on this link to go to the HonkMobile website. The link will automatically assign you to Parking Lot PG01 in Zone 2145K.
2. Click "Select Time" and change your start time to the date and time you will park. Day 1 of KTEC is April 14 and begins at 8 a.m. You must do this again for Day 2.
Note: You can enter any start and end times but you must have the correct day. The Promo Code will still cover you for the full day.
3. After you have entered the date and start time (for example, 8 a.m. April 14), click on Provided Promo Code (until 11:59 p.m.).
4. If you are not already logged into HonkMobile, you will be prompted to log in or sign up for a HonkMobile account.
5. You will be asked to enter your license plate number and select "Add promo."
6. Enter Promo Code KTEC2026 and click Apply. KDOT employees will use a different promo code. That code will be shared to registered individuals in a parking-specific email a week before the event.
7. Your total will change from $16.50 to $0.00 and you will not have to enter any form of payment.
8. Click the Park for Free button at the bottom to register your vehicle and receive a receipt/confirmation email. Make sure to click Park for Free or your car will not be registered.
9. You will then verify your license plate information, parking time and location. Once verified, you will see a confirmation page and receive a confirmation email.
Your confirmation email includes directions to the parking garage, options to change your vehicle and license plate number and view your receipt.

Mobile/Smartphone App Steps
To register your vehicle in advance using the HonkMobile app on an iPhone or Android phone:
1. Download the HonkMobile app on the iPhone App Store or Google Play Store.
2. In the app, tap By Zone ID, type "2145K" without the quotation marks and tap enter/OK. This will automatically assign you to the parking Lot PG01.
3. On the Start Time screen, change your start time to the date and time you will park. Day 1 of KTEC is April 14 and begins at 8 a.m. You must do this again for Day 2.

4. Tap the Set button.
